Enforcement of the Environmental Quality Act 1974 (Act 127) has been the main function of the Department of Environment since its inception. To ensure continuous enforcement, the Department of Environment is always sensitive in formulating and compiling strategies and directions of enforcement actions as well as compliance targets for fixed source premises and mobile sources.
