Two people were charged at the Selayang Sessions Court on 23 November 2020 following the incident of four Water Treatment Plants (WTPs) namely Rantau Panjang, Sungai Selangor Phase 1,2 and 3 which were suspended causing water supply disruption in the Klang Valley on 10 November 2020. .

The two accused were also charged with five other charges under Section 34B (1) (a), Section 34A (2), Section 18 (1) and Section 19 (a) of the Environmental Quality Act, 1974; and Section 61 (1) (b) of the National Water Services Industry Act 2006.
