The MSJCE EG (VE) Meeting was held on 14 and 15 May 2024 in Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia. On 14 May 2024, a visit was held to Toyota’s vehicle assembly plant, Assembly Services Sdn. Bhd. Bukit Raja Plant (ASSB BRP) in Selangor Darul Ehsan. The purpose of the visit is to share information on facilities related to high-tech vehicle production/assembly operation technology, as well as ASSB BRP’s initiatives to improve environmental sustainability, such as solar energy use, carbon emission reduction, and so on.

On 15 May 2024, the MSJCE EG Meeting on Vehicular Emissions was co-chaired by Dr. Norhazni binti Mat Sari, Deputy Director General (Operation), DOE Malaysia, and Mrs. Tan Li Yen, Group Director, Clean Environment Group, National Environment Agency (NEA), Singapore.

The meeting was attended by the Singaporean delegation from the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE) and NEA, Singapore. The Malaysian delegation was represented by DOE officials from the Headquarters, EiMAS and DOE State of Johor.

This meeting has discussed and shared information and experience on vehicle emission control in terms of vehicle emission standards, technology, enforcement, efforts and other alternatives in controlling vehicle emission pollution to minimize its impact on the environment and public health.
