In line with the Government’s intention in sustaining the country’s development, the Department of Environment (DOE) has examined the room for improvement to streamline the environmental impact assessment procedure, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) implemented by the Department at present.
In this regard, in order to reduce bureaucracy without reducing the quality to the evaluation of the EIA Report, it is informed that the preparation and submission of Terms of Reference, (TOR) for activities subject to the First Schedule of the Environmental Quality Order (Prescribed Activities) ( Environmental Impact Assessment) 2015 is repealed.
