ROTTERDAM CONVENTION
The Rotterdam Convention was ratified by Malaysia on 24 February 2004 is intended to promote mutual responsibility among parties that aim to ensure human health and the environment are maintained at the best level. The involvement and commitment of the Department of Environment (DOE) can be seen in every participation in the Conference of the Parties (COP). In order to comply with the Rotterdam Convention, DOE is always committed to ensure that all activities in this country related to pesticides/ industrial chemicals are in line with the requirements of the Convention.
